Host

As a host, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greeting guests as the first impression of Big Lake with a smile upon their arrival
• Seating guests and accommodating special requests to your ability
• Managing the wait list, taking guest names/number in party
• Providing accurate estimates of wait times
• Answering phones and managing restaurant reservation system
• Cleaning and bussing tables to ready for new guests
• Ensuring pub overall cleanliness
  o Windows
  o Floors
  o Bathrooms
  o Trash bins
• Menu maintenance (cleaning)
• Friendly farewell to guests

The host is an integral member of the team and the first impression for guests. Your greeting
sets the tone for the rest of their visit. Your attention to detail and communication are critically
important. Sending them off with a friendly farewell will make them feel welcomed back for a
future visit.
